Camping Safaris
This option is perfect for budget-conscious travelers and adventure seekers. Basic camping involves sleeping in a small dome tent for up to two people. If booked with a tour operator, the tent is set up for you, often with field beds provided. Most tours include a cook who prepares fresh and tasty meals during your safari.
Basic camping in Tanzania offers two options: inside and outside national parks. Inside parks (managed by TANAPA) have shared cold-water showers and bathrooms. Private stays are rare, and you may share the site with other travelers, especially during high season. Wildlife may be nearby as campsites are not fenced. Campsites outside the parks are limited but often very pleasant. Join us to experience an unforgettable adventure.
Camping Safaris Experience
Experience the African wilderness up close: sit around campfires, sleep amidst the sounds of wildlife, and enjoy freshly cooked meals by our safari cooks. All camping gear (except sleeping bags) is provided. Camps are set up by our team, though you can help if you want more adventure. Options include budget bivouac tents with basic washrooms, semi-permanent campsites with showers and toilets, and lodge safaris that can also be done via camping.
